The Good Life

 Some thoughts on Virtue Ethics and the ideas that abounded in Ancient Greece, with the occasional foray into Roman and other cultures. I might extend this to reflect on some other moral values in a future recording. The notion of what constitutes a decent life and how best to behave in the world continues to interest me. It would be good to discuss these notions with someone once again.

 The Ipswich Pagan Council is hosting an afternoon seminar/discussion to introduce interested newcomers to the different varieties of paganism that can be found in Suffolk.  This is my reading of the tenth part of Lucy M Boston's "The Children of Green Knowe" (1954), in which Tolly has an encounter with the (only mildly) menacing spectre of a cursed tree. There's also some Christmas shopping, if you can bear the prospect at this time of year and are not sick to the back teeth of shopping.
